Graham Park Middle School is one of our Premier Partners, where we endeavor to build a close working relationship to meet the needs of students, families and the staff at this school. Capital Area Food Bank Grant
For More Information DeAnn Graham WeSERVE, Program Director 571.781.2722 deann@weserveva.org For Immediate Release Dumfries, Virginia, November 18, 2022 – WeSERVE Community Development Corporation is proud to announce that it has been awarded a Food Grant from the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB). WeSERVE partners with the National Capital Region, USDA, Walmart, Food Lion, Costco and other local organizations to distribute tons of food every year to individuals in need. CAFB Funds are provided for procurement of food. Funds were awarded in recognition of and to support our exceptional work in Northern Virginia. Eugene McCown, President of WeSERVE said: “These funds will come in handy during the holiday season and will allow us to provide Turkey Baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets for Christmas.” If you would like to help WeSERVE in its Food Distribution efforts and really make a difference in the community, get in touch with them at www.weserveva.org.

WeSERVE in partnership with Will & Way CEC Presents: Non-Profit Development Program Commencement & Organization Launch Day! PRESS RELEASE For More Information DeAnn Graham WeSERVE, Program Director 571.781.2722 deann@weserveva.org For Immediate Release Dumfries, Virginia, March 31, 2022 – WeServe Community Development Corporation is proud to announce that it has been awarded a Capacity Grant from the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB). WeSERVE partners with the National Capital Region, USDA, Walmart, Food Lion, Costco and other local organizations to distribute tons of food every year to individuals in need. CAFB Funds are provided for procurement of services, equipment, and/or supplies, other than food, that will allow partners to have the greatest impact in their communities by reaching more community members in need of assistance and/or distributing a greater quantity and/or variety of food. Funds are awarded on a competitive basis based on need and expected impact. The Capacity Grant was given to support procurement of the following resources: Refrigeration Warehouse Equipment Transportation Eugene McCown, President of WeSERVE said: “After moving into a larger location, this grants allows our staff to purchase new warehouse shelving and new/additional refrigeration, allowing us to store more food AND eventually distribute more food . . . making a greater difference in the lives of the people living in our area and in the Northern Virginia Community.” If you would like to help WeSERVE in its Food Distribution efforts and really make a difference in the community, get in touch with them at www.weserveva.org.
