K-12 Learning Acceleration Grants – Virginia Residents This $30 million is specifically for Virginia residents and provides $1,500 grants to parents of school-age children for tutoring in English, mathematics, science and history, as well as foreign languages required to meet diploma requirements. Children from homes with family incomes at 300% or less of the federal poverty level may qualify for $3,000 grants! Sign up immediately as the first $750.00 must be used by August 15, 2023! The $1,500 Grant has three requirements: Reside in Virginia Is of school- age Has not graduated The $3,000 Grant has the above requirements PLUS your household income must at 300% or less of the federal poverty level. (See chart on 2nd slide) Homeschooled or private school students count as well. Children not of school age but is acknowledged by a healthcare professional as “disabled” and is under 22yrs old, may be eligible.
